Duties & Responsibilities

  • Management of the warehouse team including performance, attendance, and allocation of resources
  • Overseeing receiving, warehousing and distribution operations for domestic and world-wide shipments
  • Implement job rotation. Plan and implement training to achieve desired versatility
  • Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment
  • Working with purchasing to manage stock locations and order quantities effectively and efficiently
  • Month end inventory closure within the Financial Controller timeframe
  • Inventory analysis and implementation of new ad hoc reports in QlikView reporting system
  • Support the identification of slow-moving stock
  • Assist our auditors with our yearly stocktake audit
  • Ensuring safety of the team
  • Motivating and managing the team
  • Identification and implementation of continuous improvement activities and performance reviews
  • Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities
  • Assisting with deliveries where required

Key results & Objectives

  • Managing the day to day running of the Warehouse by providing a hands on approach
  • Liaising with HQ to implement a new warehouse device barcode reader system
  • Provide support to the Operational team with the relocation of stock to the new facility
  • Implement a new perpetual inventory process within the new Kardex system for auditing purposes
  • Once relocated to Evesham, the Warehouse Team Leader will assist with implementation of new KPIs for the department and provide monthly reports

 

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years warehouse management experience
  • Experienced in Customs requirements for export/import
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls
  • Valid driving license
  • Forklift & Narrow Aisle Forklift licence
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Outstanding leadership, organisational, multitasking and problem-solving skills

 

Working Hours

  • Hours – Monday to Friday – 8am to 5pm (early finish Friday)
  • Holidays – 24 days plus statutory holiday (8 days)
