Support Engineer

We’re looking for a competent engineer to join a market leader in sustainable motoring solutions. As a support engineer, you’ll be working as part of the central service team to maintain facility equipment to achieve maximum up time in production. You’ll also provide technical and applications support to customers both over the phone and at customer sites.

Full systems training will be provided, however you must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Operating Systems & Applications, and a basic understanding of networking principles is considered advantageous.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

• Duties to include: Error tracking, analysis and correction, log file analysis, system analysis, hotfix tests, reception of incidents, communication problems, operator failures and miscellaneous incidents
• Assist with on-site support of all company products, including customer training, product installation, resolution of customer issues and programming support
• Communicate with off site software support, manage customer co-ordination and execute feedback from support
• Work with project management, engineering and sales to provide an appropriate response to customer requests
• Undertake problem solving on all network installations
• Be part of the applications engineering team to support critical customers and/or projects
• Diagnose problematic and inefficient performance of company products and take appropriate action to rectify
• Take ownership of customer problems and liaise with the service team, to see the problems through to their conclusion
• Support company sales and general service sales activities by developing and maintaining key customer relationships

Within this role you may be required to support company projects at other manufacturing plants dependent on business demands.
