Operations Director

We have an exciting opportunity to join a leading specialist in the UK Fluid Power Industry as the company’s Operations Director. This role will suit an experienced manager with a strong hydraulics background, who is well versed in technical projects and managing operations/service teams.

Your main purpose as Operations Director, is to take ownership of the entire service delivery process for technical projects and effectively manage the service team in order to drive business growth.

Key Duties & Responsibilities  

• Develop and implement an annual operations plan and budget in line with company growth targets, providing periodic management reports
• Build and evolve the operational & support team so they’re able to actualise the annual plan
• Lead the management of project teams and supply chain venders, ensuring all individual KPI’s and targets are met or exceeded
• Exercise your commercial awareness to critically analyse market data, identifying business issues and constructing solutions to drive better efficiency
• Present innovative ideas with confidence, both internally and externally, to evolve current practices to drive improvement and long term profitably for the business
• Offer team wide guidance as required, sharing your expertise of commercial matters including, procurement, bid writing, estimating and debt management

Required Attributes & Experience

• Significant experience operating at a senior level within the fluid power/hydraulics industry
• Well versed in managing technical projects and operations/service teams
• Effective leadership skills and a winning, high growth mentality
