If you’re a TIG welder with MIG welding experience, we’d love to hear from you to discuss a promising opportunity with Europe’s leading filter manufacturer. You’ll be responsible of housing, as well as developing manufacturing methods and tooling.

Someone technically minded with a great attention to detail will excel in this role, and if you’re from a workshop/manufacturing background with sheet metal fabrication experience, even better.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Production of housings and transfer to stage inspection
  • Housing quality control and inspection to the agreed quality plan
  • TIG and MIG welding and fabrication in stainless steel
  • Continuous improvement of manufacturing methods for standard housing designs
  • Developing manufacturing methods for special housings
  • Involvement in equipment maintenance
  • Supporting related teams in their problem-solving activities
  • Ensuring cleanliness & safety standards are maintained in and around the production area
  • Involvement in continuous improvement projects
  • Completion of mandatory company courses
  • Adherence and compliance to ISO standards and health and safety requirements

Ideal Candidate Skills & Experience

  • Technically minded
  • Able to read and work from technical plans and engineering drawings
  • Able to demonstrate consistent, accurate welding results
  • Able to use a variety of drills, handheld grinders, etc. in the preparation of components
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Good level of numeracy
  • Good attention to detail with excellent accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work on own initiative

 

Essential Experience

  • Experience working within an Engineering Workshop
  • Experience of stainless steel TIG welding
  • Demonstrable ability to read Engineering Drawings

Desirable Experience

  • Experience of sheet metal working (i.e. bending, rolling, forming, etc.)
  • Experience of stainless steel MIG welding
  • Experience of taking coded tests
  • Computer literate
  • Cranes and lifting experience

Salary
£27,000 – £31,000

Working Hours
Monday-Thursday – 7am-4pm
Friday – 7am-3pm
