Field-based Service Engineer responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of hydraulic attachments used on excavators, cranes and material-handling equipment
Working on products including grapples, tiltrotators, quick couplers, shears, buckets and hydraulic tools
Covering North England
Key Responsibilities
Install and commission hydraulic attachments on customer machines (on-site)
Carry out service, fault-finding and repairs on hydraulic and mechanical systems
Diagnose hydraulics and mechanical faults
Provide technical support and advice to customers and operators
Complete service reports, documentation and job records accurately
Liaise with internal teams (technical, parts, service coordination)
Maintain high standards of health & safety and customer service
Occasional travel with limited overnight stays
Essential Requirements
Strong knowledge of hydraulics (hoses, valves, pumps, motors, cylinders, systems)
Proven experience as a Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer / Hydraulic Engineer
Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic and mechanical systems independently
Experience working on mobile or heavy equipment
Confident working on customer sites
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to travel within the assigned region
Desirable Experience
Background in one or more of the following industries:
Construction equipment
Earth moving machinery
Agricultural machinery
Heavy Industries
Material handling equipment
Off-highway or mobile plant
Experience with excavator or crane-mounted attachments
Knowledge of tiltrotators, grapples, quick couplers or demolition tools
Previous OEM or dealer service experience
