We’re looking for a hands-on, practical Electrical Installation Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team delivering high-quality control systems for a key client base. If you enjoy site work, problem-solving, and seeing projects through from install to commission, this one’s for you.

🔧 The Role

-Surveying, installing, commissioning, and supporting site-based control systems

-Strong electrical installation bias with some exposure to PLC programming (training provided)

-Panel wiring and fabrication as a core part of the role

-Working independently, in pairs, or as part of a wider engineering team

-Ensuring work is delivered to the highest standards and within agreed deadlines

-Predominantly standard working hours, with flexibility required

-Regular site travel (typically within 3 hours)

-Overnight stays expected but capped at ~20% of the working week

-Hotels provided where travel exceeds 1.5 hours

⏰ Working Hours

-Monday–Thursday: 08:30–17:15

-Friday: 08:30–16:00

-Full-time, permanent position

👷 What We’re Looking For

-Electrical qualifications: C&G / BTEC / NVQ3 / ONC / HNC / HND

18th Edition (BS7671:2018)

-ECS Gold Card

-Background in electrical installation, service & support, or maintenance

-Essential experience in panel wiring and fabrication

-Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams

-Experience installing and commissioning equipment such as PLCs

-Exposure to EPlan, AutoCAD, or similar (advantageous)

-Control panel design, manufacture, or installation experience

✅ What You’ll Need

-Minimum 2 years’ practical electrical experience

-Level 3 Electrical Installation (2365)

-Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

-Clean UK driving licence

-Right to work in the UK
