Working as a Condition Based Maintenance trainee, you’ll be educated and trained on vibration analysis and preventative maintenance.

You’ll be spending most of your time under the mentorship of our Consultant Engineers, as well as attending a number of internal and external industry training courses to further develop your skill set.

By the end of your training, you’ll be fully equipped with all the knowledge and tools you’ll need to become an effective part of the company’s service delivery team, playing a key role in preventative maintenance, spotting key and costly errors before they happen.

Key Duties & Responsibilities (upon completion of training)

  • Collect and analyse data utilising various condition monitoring techniques (electrical and mechanical)
  • Formulate accurate and concise reports for clients, clearly identifying any potential failure modes and risk of client business impact
  • Report on first and second pass analysis of CBM results, ensuring any potential threat to clients’ reliability program is identified and reported
  • Promote the company’s services when interacting with clients, capitalising on opportunities to cross sell
  • Deliver specific asset management services to improve client’s equipment availability & reliability as directed by Operations Management teams
  • Ensure effective communication and reporting to line management regarding operational objectives, achievements, opportunities, and risk
  • Co-operate with peers to support future business development, advising management of potential new business opportunities
  • Assist in compiling, managing, and following method statements, COSHH assessments, risk assessments and SOPs in place, informing management if documentation is incorrect or missing, and report any HSEQ issues
  • Be responsible for own work, organising the delivery of all specified site services, assisting the site/regional team managers to optimise performance, in compliance with all business systems, processes and standards
  • Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained in a serviceable condition and within the calibration QAP control procedure

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable understanding of mechanical & electrical principles
  • Practical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical rotating equipment
  • Previous on the job training
  • Desire to learn and gain experience
  • Effective communicator
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and demonstrable ability to ask questions to gain knowledge and experience
  • HNC or HND background in mechanical or electrical principles (desirable)
  • Time served maintenance apprentice (desirable)
